On Sunday, April 16th, the Web3 Social House series continued with its Tokyo edition, hosted at the vibrant RED° TOKYO TOWER, located at the Tokyo Tower. The event ran an entire afternoon and the turnout was remarkable, attracting more than 500 attendees who were eager to engage with the Web3 social community. It was one of the biggest among all the ETH Tokyo side events.
Building on the success of its genesis event in Denver, the Tokyo edition of Web3 Social House focused on Web3 social, collaboration, the Japanese community, and the economy. The event commenced with an opening address by Vivian Xia from Mask Network, followed by a special video message from Mr. Masaaki Taira, Member of the House of Representatives, who spoke about Japan’s national strategy for Web3. Attendees were then treated to a series of presentations and panel discussions, which explored topics ranging from the Japanese government’s official Web3 strategy to the business strategies of key players in the Japanese crypto space.
A panel of industry experts, including Keiichi Hida (CEO of BSPI), Yusuke Shidara (Chief Editor of New Economy), and Yuya Hashimoto (Web3 lawyer), provided an overview of the Japanese Government’s Official Web3 Strategy and its relationship with web3 social.
Atsushi Kuwabara, Head of Business Development at bitbank, one of Japan’s largest crypto asset exchanges, shared insights into the business strategies of bitbank.
Yasuhito Terauchi, COO of Hakuhodo, discussed how Hakuhodo KEY3 accelerates web3 business with large enterprises.
The final panel session focused on “Growing Mass Adoption of Web3 through Community Building and Empowering the Crypto Industry.” Speakers included Galam WON (MOMENTUM6 Managing Partner), Ryan Li (CyberConnect CTO), Joonatan (Phaver CEO), 0xTomi (Phaver CFO), Suji Yan (Mask Network CEO), Juanna Zhai (Gitcoin Partnerships), matoken.eth (ENS Developer), and Edwin Yen (Co-Founder and COO of Blocto).
